This is a scene taken from the Michel Gondry film 'The Science of Sleep'. Ive always loved his work, and his film 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' is my favorite. I love his use of special effects as, wherever possible, he creates them without the use of a computer. This scene is one of my favorite from the film, along with the one below. The whole 'look' of the scene I would like to create in my own work, especially the chunky stitch marks and felt creations. It also interests me from a different perspective, being the use of film. Its becoming increasingly interesting to me and could be a possibility further on in the project.

Came across this artist via my little brother! Really loved her way of making the book a stage. Also she has a few (very) short animations involving paper. Might be interesting to start using paper like it was fabric.

She's also really got me into the idea of stop motion animation, but maybe I should put that at the back of my mind for the moment.
